Job Vacancy: Office Manager

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Office Manager to join DFN Project SEARCH and the DFN Foundation based in our offices in London.

You will support the Chief Executive of DFN Project SEARCH and the Chief Executive of the DFN Foundation to ensure they have all that they need to deliver excellent outcomes for the two charities, and you will help us to grow and develop our offers.

Ideally you will have experience of working within a professional organisation providing management support at board level. You will also have had experience of financial management (ordering, purchasing, invoicing, receiving and keeping basic financial accounts). You will have knowledge of basic HR, Health and Safety and Finance requirements as they apply to a charity.

This job will be based in London but you must be prepared to travel throughout the UK as required. There will be significant planning demands and you will need to be a self-starter. You will effectively manage your own diary, ensuring that you deliver a great service that also offers great value for money. Your starting salary will be dependent on your experience. All reasonable expenses incurred in connection with the job will be paid. We are committed to continuous professional development and you will be well trained and supported.

Support in Work Award – Jim Wylie

Jim Wylie a Project SEARCH Follow on Job Coach was a winner at the 2018 Scottish National Learning Disability Awards.

He was nominated by the Interns he has supported at the NHS Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

Jim’s dedication in supporting the young people employed by the NHS is an example of the benefits of long term support once you have gained employment.

Job Vacancy: London Programme Specialist

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Specialist to join the Central DFN Project SEARCH Team based in the London area.

You will support our existing programmes to ensure they have all that they need to deliver excellent outcomes for young people, and you will help us to grow new strong partnerships to fulfil our ambition and ensure that everyone who needs a DFN Project SEARCH programme has access to one wherever they live!

You will have experience of DFN Project SEARCH and will have worked as a host business liaison or in the Education, Local Government or the Supported Employment Sector. You will have a firsthand understanding of partnership working, be a great presenter and have an ability to manage projects and keep everyone engaged and on task. You will be knowledgeable about the SEND sector in England and understand the regulations and funding in this area. You will be a great networker and a team player who is determined to make a real difference.

This job will be based in London but you must be prepared to work in other areas across the UK as required. There will be significant travel and planning demands and you will need to be a self-starter. Project SEARCH USA Annual Conference, Bursary Opportunity

DFN Project SEARCH is delighted to announce that three Bursaries are to be made available to cover the full costs (including travel, conference attendance and accommodation) of attending this year’s World Annual Project SEARCH conference in Anaheim in California from the 29th July 2019 to the 2nd August 2019.

Applications for the three Bursaries are invited from:

  • Host Business Liaisons
  • Tutors/Lecturers
  • Job Coaches

One Bursary will be awarded in each of these categories.

If you wish to apply you will be asked to complete an application form and agree to:

  • Write a newsletter article for the DFN Project SEARCH programmes about your experience and learning
  • Write a newsletter and articles for further distribution beyond DFN Project SEARCH Programmes
  • Prepare and deliver a presentation to other team members from DFN Project SEARCH programmes about the key points you have learned and what you think will make a real difference to your practice and outcomes.
