Brian’s Story
Brian, Graduate, London Heathrow Marriott
Through the power of DFN Project SEARCH, Brian now has the world at his feet thanks to a full-time position at Marriott Hotels.
Having successfully completed the pioneering programme he has secured a role as an engineer.
Brian said: "Thanks to DFN Project SEARCH I look forward to every day."
Aimee's Story
Aimee, Graduate, Nottinghamshire County Council
Aimee’s faced many challenges but by joining DFN Project SEARCH she was able to get a real insight into the workplace and what skills she needed to secure a job.
After completing the programme, Aimee obtained a position working in Children's Disability Services at Nottinghamshire County Council.
Aimee said: "Being at work has helped my confidence grow. It has been a long hard journey but well worth it. Work is so important to me, and the feeling of being accepted means everything to me."
Ekene’s Story
Ekene, Graduate, Charing Cross Hospital
After successfully completing a DFN Project SEARCH programme Ekene was offered a job by medical device supplier Arjo.
Now Ekene works as a Laundry Technician at London’s Charing Cross Hospital.
Camila Majica-Braesyde, Project SEARCH Business liaison at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust said: "Ekene has not only developed his practical skills, but his social skills have blossomed. He has grown in confidence and has continued to challenge stereotypes around employing people with disabilities by providing an outstanding service."
