During this year’s Learning Disability Week, David Forbes-Nixon, Executive Chair and Founder of DFN Charitable Foundation and DFN Project SEARCH wrote an article about the opportunity for businesses to employ people with learning disabilities and autism.

David tells of how there are now a record 1.3 million job vacancies in the UK.

Many of these could be filled by the estimated one million people with special educational needs and disabilities who are out of work. This would be beneficial for them but more to the point, good for our economy and for society.
