As Director of Development at DFN Project SEARCH Sarah is responsible for developing and leading on the delivery of the fundraising strategy and team to support the sustainable growth of the charity. Sarah joined DFN Project SEARCH in 2021 to establish the fundraising function, which now raises over £2million each year in support of its work.
Motivated by the values of fairness and equity Sarah has worked as a fundraising professional in the charity sector for 30 years. She specialises in fundraising strategy, leading major campaigns, and building teams to deliver major gift programmes. During her career she has worked for a wide range of charities including The Institute of Cancer Research, the Wildlife Trusts, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, and was most recently Head of Philanthropy at the Natural History Museum where she led the £20m Urban Nature campaign to redevelop the Museum’s gardens. She has also volunteered as a trustee for SEED Madagascar, a charity which delivers sustainable development and conservation projects across southeast Madagascar. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
