Then join our Youth Advisory Group! It’s a supportive, inclusive community where you’ll meet with other likeminded interns all dedicated to making a difference for other young interns like you.
Being on the YAG has helped me express my thoughts and opinions about what I feel needs to be changed. The away day was brilliant. I got to meet the other members, and it makes you realise that there’s so many sites outside of your own. You will be made to feel very welcome. No-one will judge you and everyone’s opinion matters.

Why should you join?
We know that young people are experts in their own lives. That’s why we want to hear from you. By joining our Youth Advisory Group, you’ll share your own views and lived experiences to influence, improve and make positive changes across anything from campaign ideas to creating more inclusive workplaces.
Becoming a YAG member is ideal if you:
Are passionate about advocating for equality in the workplace
Understand the importance of reasonable adjustments
Are eager to share your experiences and ideas to help shape better outcomes for yourself and fellow interns
How often do we meet?
Monthly online meetings
Meet online once a month to work together on projects, give feedback and help shape future opportunities for interns.
Away days
Take part in in-person away days to meet with YAG members, work together on some important projects and get involved team activities.
The full cost of your travel will be reimbursed. If you require support from a job coach or family member, their travel will also be funded.

We recruit members for our Youth Advisory Group every year, and applications are open for any current interns involved in a DFN Project SEARCH supported internship.
